Configuring inspections, defect types, priorities and SLAs
Configuration makes the Quality workflow yours — your inspection types, defect types, priorities, response-time SLAs and custom checklists.
How to use it
- From Inspections & Defects, click the Configuration button (top right) to open Inspections Configuration. (It's also reachable from Settings → Inspections Configuration.)
- Work through the tabs:
- Access Control — turn Enable Inspections & Defects on/off for your organisation, then control access per site and for residents. Click Save Changes.
- Email Alerts — set up who is alerted when defects are raised (see the How to setup Inspection & Defects Email Alerts article).
- Inspection Types — create the types of inspection your team runs and attach a checklist to each.
- Defect Types — maintain the list of defect/issue types.
- Priority — define your priority levels.
- SLAs — set the response-time SLA for each priority. These drive the age-bucket colours and the Over SLA counts.
- Custom Checklists — build and edit the checklists used by inspection types.
- To build a checklist, go to Custom Checklists, add or edit a checklist, then add inspection points (you can bulk-paste multiple points at once). Save and attach it to an inspection type.
What happens next
Your new types, priorities and SLAs appear in the defect and inspection forms immediately. SLA settings change how age buckets are coloured across the home screen and analytics.
Common questions
Who can access Configuration?Admin users only. Homeowners are sent back to their home page if they try the URL.
If I change an SLA, does it re-colour old defects?Yes — the age-bucket colouring reflects your current SLA settings across all open defects.
