Finding your way around Inspections & Defects

The Inspections & Defects home is your single cockpit for every inspection and every open defect across your developments.

How to use it

  1. In the top navigation, click Quality. You land on Inspections & Defects.
  2. Read the stat tiles along the top: Total and Open defect counts, then the age buckets — 0–1 Days, 2–7 Days, 8–14 Days, 15–28 Days and 28+ Days. The 28+ Days tile is the one to watch — those defects are oldest and most likely past SLA.
  3. Use the three tabs to switch views: Inspections (every inspection, with defect totals and age columns), Defects (every individual defect across all inspections), and Archived (inspections you've archived out of the active list).
  4. Narrow the list with the controls under the tiles: Search (name, site, plot or unit), Location & Plot, All Inspections (by type), All Ages (by age bucket) and All Assignees.
  5. Click any inspection row to open it, or any defect to open the defect detail.

What happens next

The list and tiles update instantly as you filter. Your tab and filter choices are remembered if you click into an inspection and come back.

Common questions

What do the coloured age tiles mean? They group open defects by how many days they've been open. Green is fresh, amber is ageing, red (28+ Days) is overdue and needs attention.

What's the difference between the Analytics and Export Data buttons?Analytics opens the charts-and-trends dashboard. Export Data downloads the current list for reporting outside the app.

Where do I change defect types, priorities or SLAs?Use the Configuration button (top right of the home) — see Configuring inspections, defect types, priorities and SLAs.
