Creating apartment buildings with blocks and levels

How apartment buildings work

In Guided Home, an apartment building is a single location that contains multiple levels (floors), each of which holds individual apartment units. This is different from houses, which are standalone plots.

When you view your plots list, apartment buildings can be expanded to show all the individual units beneath them.

Step 1 β€” Create the building

  1. Navigate to Plots in the main navigation.
  2. Click Add Plot and select Apartment Building as the building type.
  3. Enter the building name, address, and any other required details.
  4. Click Continue.

Step 2 β€” Add levels (floors)

  1. After creating the building, you will be prompted to add levels.
  2. Click Add level and enter the floor name (e.g. "Ground Floor", "First Floor", "Second Floor").
  3. Repeat for each floor in the building.
  4. Levels can be reordered if needed.
  5. Click Continue when all levels are added.

Step 3 β€” Add units to each level

  1. For each level, click Add unit.
  2. Enter the unit number, tenure type (e.g. Leasehold, Shared Ownership), and any optional photos.
  3. Repeat for each unit on that level.
  4. Click Save when complete.

Editing a level name

To rename a level after creation, navigate to the building, find the level, and click the edit icon next to its name. Update the name and save.
